BLACK AND WHITE SPIDER AWARDS HONORS PHOTOGRAPHER R.D.WAYNE HOLLOWAY FROM AUSTRALIA

LONDON 15-6-12 – Professional  photographer R.D.wayne Holloway of Australia was presented with the 7th Annual Black and White Spider Awards  Outstanding Achievement  in the category of Still Life at a prestigious Nomination & Winners PhotoShow. The live online ceremony webcast Saturday, June 9, 2012 was attended by photography fans in 72 countries who logged on to see the climax of the industry’s most important event for black and white photography.

The awards international Jury included captains of the industry from National Geographic, Fratelli Alinari, Heffel Fine Art to the Tate in London who honored Spider Fellows with 180 coveted title awards and 875 nominees in 14 categories.

“It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 8,223 entries we received this year,” said Basil O’Brien, the awards Creative Director. “R.D.Wayne Holloway’s “ON SAFARI,” is an exceptional image entered in the still life category, represents black and white photography at its finest, and we’re pleased to present him with the title of 1st Place Outstanding Achievement in Still Life  .”

What a fantastic year this is turning out to be !!!!!! ………I have just received another award ,this time from The International Photography Masters Cup, I have another Honorable mention this time for one of my food still lifes ……woooo hoooo.

Yes thats right ………Holloway photographer is moving………Moving  into video that is.  After years of shooting African Wildlife video for broadcast, I have decided to put my skills into shooting video for my clients to promote their products, services etc .

I had the opportunity to shoot with the new Leica S2 for a couple of days last week…wow, what a machine,great looks, great handling ,great files…..here are a couple of shots taken with it.

Happy new year to everybody………a lot has happened since my last post, we spent all of October in South Africa, from Cape town to Kruger and a lot in between !!!!!!!!!!

We are starting off the new year with a couple of new accounts under the belt……and air conditioning the studio…….whoo hooo ……. . Also looking with interest at  QR coding and how we can become involved with it as a supplier………and developing a new way to display and promote the business, all in all its going to be a very busy year .

And tonight I am going to shoot some sea scapes with the latest LEICA MEDIUM FORMAT CAMERA , now thats a coup as there are only a couple in the country.

I will hopefully have some  shots to upload soon.

Hi all…………..Ive just got back from big bed linen shoot in Morocco for a major linen importer……….ok,ok,ok..so I have just spent the week shooting some fabulous Moroccon inspired linen designs in the studio………believe me it was almost as good as being there !!!!!!!

I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with international glass artist Ben Sewell recently, it was a privilege to be asked to shoot some of his pieces for an up coming exhibition being held  in Melbourne.
